The Process
All Easy Rider Bourbon starts with a traditional mash bill of 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye. There is no wheat in the mix. It is distilled and then aged in new American White Oak for a minimum of 4 years. During this aging process, the uniqueness of each oak barrel imparts nuances of flavor and distinction that the team was able to experience firsthand.

Tasting Notes
Setting off on a flavorful journey over St. Patrick's Day weekend, the lead producers of The One Motorcycle Show explored Easy Rider’s local Tasting Outpost in downtown Portland. There, they were presented with four enticing options of single barrel whiskeys to sample and savor.
Each whiskey presented a meticulously crafted flavor profile, offering a journey through a spectrum of tastes and aromas. From the inviting sweetness of vanilla and corn to the earthy and floral undertones, every sip revealed a new layer of complexity.
During the tastings, the team shared their unique perspectives and impressions. One whiskey conjured images of a new bike with fresh tires, exuding a comforting sense of ease and allure. Another evoked the rugged ambiance of an outdoor ranch, with its subtle hints of sweet corn and lightness. Meanwhile, a third whiskey transported tasters to a world of stainless steel roses and pink earl gray tea, teasing the senses with its richness and depth. Finally, the fourth whiskey delighted with notes of caramel, toasted coconut, and warm spices, offering a harmonious blend of flavors that left a lasting impression.
As the tastings continued, attendees discovered a clever trick from the Easy Rider Team: resetting their olfactory palate by taking a moment to smell themselves. This unconventional yet surprisingly effective method helped tasters fully immerse themselves in the experience, allowing them to savor the unique nuances of each whiskey without feeling overwhelmed.
